This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones Tscale Solution uses across our dashboard, marketing site, and link-hub pages, and how you can control them.
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website to remember information between visits, such as keeping you signed in.
What we use depends on which tscale property you're on:
| Property | Cookies set | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Dashboard (dash.tscale.ca) | Strictly-necessary session cookie (Supabase auth) | Keeps you signed in to the dashboard. Essential for login — never used for advertising. |
| Marketing site (tscalesolution.com) | Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate usage measurement (pages viewed, traffic sources, device type) — not advertising, not cross-site tracking. |
| Link-hub pages | One first-party analytics cookie (ts_hub_vid) — plus one opt-out cookie (ts_hub_optout) if, and only if, you decline in Section 5 | The analytics cookie holds a randomly generated number and nothing else — no name, no email, no IP address. It lets the business whose page it is estimate how many different people opened the page and how many came back. It expires after about 13 months, is never used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and is never sold. You can switch it off in Section 5 (also reachable from the "Cookies" link at the bottom of any link-hub page), and it is not set at all if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. The opt-out cookie holds the value 1, no identifier, and exists only to remember that you declined. |
Alongside that cookie, a first-party beacon on link-hub pages counts page views and button taps and records a coarse device class (for example mobile or desktop). Every recorded visit also carries a hash computed from your IP address and browser user-agent together with a secret salt that changes each day and is deleted after 48 hours — that hash is what still allows a single day to be counted when there is no cookie at all. It cannot be linked across days or across different link-hub pages, and neither your IP address nor your user-agent is ever stored. Visitor numbers produced this way are estimates, not exact counts.
We do not use advertising pixels or cross-site tracking cookies on any tscale property. Nothing collected via cookies is sold.
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking the dashboard's session cookie will break login — you won't be able to stay signed in. Blocking Google Analytics on the marketing site does not affect your ability to browse or contact us. Blocking or deleting the link-hub analytics cookie does not affect the page in any way — it will still load and every button will still work; only the visitor count is affected. Section 5 below turns the counting off entirely, not just the cookie.
You do not have to be counted. Use the switch below, or send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser — we honour both, and when either is present we set no cookie and record nothing.
This switch applies to the link-hub pages we host for our clients. It stores your choice in this browser only.
